How do payments work?
Buyers pay into escrow by card from any country. Kenya buyers can also pay with M-Pesa. FreelanceKE keeps 10–15% (default 12%). Sellers withdraw to Payoneer. Kenya sellers can also withdraw to M-Pesa from 1,000 units.
Is this only for Kenya?
No. Anyone can create an account, hire, or list work. M-Pesa checkout and M-Pesa withdrawals stay Kenya-only. Card works for every user.
What does FreelanceKE charge?
Order commission is 10–15% (default 12%). Connects are used to send job proposals. Earn Extra is separate and uses a 10–20% cut (default 15%).
What if the work is not right?
Do not release escrow. Open a dispute from the order. Write to disputes@freelanceke.co.ke and keep chat and files on the order.
